The North Dakota State Bison Men's Basketball team has a rich history, dating back to their founding in 1899. The team has won numerous conference championships over the years, including 7 Summit League championships since joining the conference.
One of the most successful seasons in Bison basketball history came in the 2013-2014 season, when the team went 26-7 overall and won the Summit League championship. The team went on to win their first-ever NCAA tournament game, defeating the Oklahoma Sooners in overtime, before falling to the San Diego State Aztecs in the next round.
