The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks men's basketball team is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I basketball team representing Stephen F. Austin State University. The team has a rich history and boasts some of the most outstanding players in the Southland Conference.

Thomas Walkup

Thomas Walkup

Thomas Walkup is considered one of the best players in the history of the Stephen F. Austin men's basketball program. The 6'4" guard played for the Lumberjacks from 2012 to 2016 and was the face of the team during his tenure. He led the Lumberjacks to three consecutive Southland Conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.

Walkup was named Southland Conference Player of the Year twice and was also named the Most Valuable Player of the conference tournament twice. He finished his career with 1,767 points, 768 rebounds, and 403 assists, making him the only player in school history to rank in the top ten in all three categories.

Kevon Harris

Kevon Harris

Kevon Harris is another standout player for the Lumberjacks. The 6'6" guard played for Stephen F. Austin from 2016 to 2020 and had an impressive career. He was a four-time All-Southland Conference selection and was named the conference's Player of the Year in 2020.

Harris finished his career with 2,038 points, making him the third-highest scorer in school history. He also had 740 rebounds, 138 steals, and 103 blocks, showing his versatility on both ends of the floor.

TJ Holyfield

TJ Holyfield played for the Lumberjacks from 2016 to 2019 and was a key player during his time in Nacogdoches. The 6'8" forward was known for his energy and effort on the court and was a fan favorite.

Holyfield helped lead the Lumberjacks to two NCAA tournament appearances and was named to the Southland Conference All-Defensive team twice. He finished his career with 1,225 points and 657 rebounds, highlighting his ability to score and rebound at a high level.

Ivan Canete

Ivan Canete

Ivan Canete played for the Lumberjacks from 2016 to 2018 and was a key contributor during his time at Stephen F. Austin. The 6'1" guard was known for his scoring ability and was a clutch performer in big games.

Canete was named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2017 and finished his career with 950 points, 218 rebounds, and 105 assists. He was also a threat from beyond the arc, shooting 39% from three-point range during his junior season.
