The Number 3 on South Carolina Women's basketball team, Aliyah Boston, was born on December 8th, 2001, in St. Thomas, Jamaica. She moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, with her mom and sister when she was just seven years old. Aliyah started playing basketball when she was in 5th grade and instantly fell in love with the sport. Her love for the game grew over the years, and she began to show incredible promise and natural ability.

Aliyah Boston's talent and work ethic landed her a spot on the Worcester Academy's Varsity basketball team in her sophomore year. She helped the team win the championship and earned the title of Worcester Telegram & Gazette's Hometeam Player of the Year in 2018. Her sophomore year was so impressive that she was named the Gatorade Massachusetts Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2019. Aliyah's achievements didn't go unnoticed, and she was ranked the second-best player in the class of 2019 by ESPN.

Making History With The Gamecocks

After graduating from high school, Aliyah Boston chose to attend the University of South Carolina and play for the Gamecocks. In her first year, she made a significant impact, helping the team make it to the SEC Championship game and the NCAA tournament. She was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, All-SEC freshman team, and the National Freshman of the Year. Aliyah played an integral part in the Gamecocks winning the national championship in 2020. In her second year, she continued to shine on the court and help the team make it to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament.
